This prob better place to have submitted question re Obama?
c/p'd

Re fundraising in the political sector

Why has there not been any publicized review/research into the Obama campaign's fundraising? Other than, of course, the press reports of huge amounts of funds raised hyped or attributed in a large part to "grassroots contributions". Especially given that small political contributions (less than 100 or 101 dollars?) do not require a donor's name and are not "reported" in a traceable way. If you know of any informative URLs or phone numbers, can you direct me to same?

Ergo, is there a correlation between Obama "grassroots" contributions given sooooooooo much hype in the press and the number of contributions "under the (reportable) radar screen”? From your experience, would it be difficult to do such small contributions on line or thru the mail......from anywhere in the world? . Although political candidates are not “required” to report contributions under the 100 or 101 dollar amount, it begs the questions that no one seems to ask. Are there similarities in mail or email eddresses, donor names or more succinctly, similarity of traceable IP addresses? Is there a way to determine if the smaller amounts are being methodically contributed from a larger source or entity of a political or religious persuasion?? Perhaps these small group contributions are handled by a select group within the campaign.

I understand that to even view the Obama site, you have to log in with an email address....... so one would be in their database even if simply wanting to read more about him. Why? Simply to send a thank you.........which could be done if/when viewer makes a contribution. If not that, what? Just a bit too much like big brother .........whoops, that dates me, nest pas? Just a bit too much like the one world / single government ideals currently underway and becoming less subtle as time goes on..

Looking forward to your response!

Take Care
Carlie

Also, was there a major rock band or celebrity booked in St Louis as there was in Europe when such a huge crowd attended his campaign stomp? Neither published nor reported to my knowledge.
