According to an (expensive!) annual study conducted for Shop.org by Forrester Research and cited here, online retail spending will top $200 billion in 2006, up 20% from last year. We think online shopping is great practice for online giving, as consumers become more and more comfortable with the practice, including providing their credit card info via the internet.

Retailers in the study also report that 22% of offline sales are influenced by the Web. Another reason for integrated marketing that applies to non-profit fundraisers as well.
