Yesterday - when someone came in to talk to us about social media strategy.

I invited our intern to sit in on the presentation and frequently asked her about her and her friends facebook usage as it applied to the presentation we were seeing.

She told us that she and all her friends are "addicted" to it and we talked about how they use it and why. Twitter is useless to the under 35 crowd - we know that different demographics use social media differently... and use different kinds of social media.

I think that's handy and provides clearly delineation for your communications on those platforms. I am of the mind that any time you want to talk to someone, the best way to do so, is to ask them how they want to be communicated with.
