Given how much fundraising and communications fodder I try to collect in my online browsing, I don’t know how I managed to miss this list of ‘Top 12′ online fundraising platforms, as so appraised by Mashable.com.
The list includes a brief description of benefits of each site for donors and nonprofits, with a representative screen shot. Here’s the list …
1. Causes
2. Crowdrise
4. DonorsChoose
5. FirstGiving
6. Givezooks
7. Help Attack!
8. Jumo
9. JustGive
10. Razoo
11. SocialVibe
12. Sparked
Checking all these out should keep your online fundraising staff busy!
Tom
P.S. Thanks to Aliza Sherman, writing an excellent piece on ‘crowdsourcing’ on Beth’s Blog, for the pointer.

Just curious why Fundly wasn’t included in this list? They seem to be one of the bigger players in online fundraising. Thanks for the feedback!
Wow, I can’t believe Jumo is on this list. Poor functionality, etc. – such a disappointing site.
There are so many now but this is a good list. There are a couple I hadn’t heard of – thanks.
Bummed out you missed DonationPay! We offer full featured fundraising software and online payment pages at super affordable prices, with far friendlier and more comprehensive service- check us out at http://www.donationpay.org. This was a good post- aside from the glaring omission
– and gives a nice variety of service providers in the industry, which I’m sure is helpful to organizations and community groups looking to improve their online fundraising or switch from a problematic service.
