		<description>I couldn&#039;t agree more that &quot;The ‘case for support’ is probably the most important element in fundraising and, sadly, the most ignored.&quot; Could it have something to do with how we value the creative talent that helps create our fundraising messages? 

In full disclosure, I should say that I&#039;m one of those creative people so I&#039;m not entirely objective about this subject. But one agency President told me recently, &quot;I think we&#039;re paying the same rates for copy today that we did when I first started in the industry 20 years ago.&quot; 

If we believe in the power of smart thinking (and good writing!) then this is surely a formula for disaster.</description>
